You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with Jim Rohn

Five Ways To Be Constantly Bettering Yourself

Life is all about growing and learning. It challenges us, it helps us to feel more fulfilled, and it keeps each day exciting. Remaining stagnant in life is when we start to feel bored and unhappy, which is why it's so necessary to step outside your comfort zone a bit! Here are five ways to be constantly bettering yourself:

1. Set goals.

Taking the time to sit down and actually think about your goals is an important step in getting where you want to be. Write something down on paper, whether it's your goal for the year, or even a five year goal! Then visualize yourself after achieving that goal, and keep that image in the back of your mind to help you stay on track.

2. Listen to podcasts.
This is an easy one to do. Throw one on for your morning commute, during your workout, or in the background while cooking dinner. There are so many different podcasts out there that will give you knowledge on any topic you want to learn about!

3. Read books.
Something all of the highest achievers have in common is they read. A lot. Taking an extra 15 minutes in the morning or before bed will really add up and make a difference!

4. Hang out with people that inspire you.
Jim Rohn always said that we are the average of the five people that we spend the most time with. If you don't have many uplifting or motivating people in your life, think about joining an organization or volunteering. If there's not a lot going on near you, it's so easy now to find groups and meet people online!

5. Learn something new.
Take that cooking class you've always wanted to take, go learn how to play tennis, or download an app to learn a second language.  Challenging yourself is the key to growth!

Have you tried any of these lately?
